Curating the Renaissance Line

Curating the Renaissance Line

Everything about the Renaissance Line was picked with YOU in mind.

Back in January, I hosted an event where people filled out a survey about the clothing items they loved most. I always kept those results in mind while I searched—looking for things you already liked but making sure I could add my own spin.

From the beginning, I wanted pieces that could all work together—almost everything in the line can be styled into an outfit, but each piece also stands on its own. Every detail mattered: the colors, the fit, the softness, the quality, and even the Renaissance-themed names. And once the clothes arrived, I didn’t just stop there—I added my own finishing touches to make each one unique.

Here’s the story behind them:

Florentine Lines Blouse

This blouse was already beautiful—from the bows to the way it drapes. I didn’t want to overdo it, so I added a subtle embroidery: ‘you are art.’ It sits along the side, a quiet reminder of our message.

Painter’s Cloth Tee

This one is like a blind bag toy for adults. You don’t know which design you’ll get—but you know it’ll be good. Each tee features a Renaissance artist (Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Botticelli) and their most famous work. The left sleeve is embroidered with the artist’s name, the right with their artwork. Fun fact: every embroidered design was hand-drawn by me first before being stitched in. And yes—it’s the perfect comfy, high-quality tee I knew we all needed. Finished with our custom leather tag at the hem.

Cherubino Maglione (Cherub Sweater in Italian)

From the survey, I knew I needed to include a short-sleeved cardigan. The hardest part was picking colors, but I landed on Yearning Love (bright red) and Ivory Tower (ivory/beige). Both work seamlessly with the rest of the line. I wanted to keep it simple, but also—what’s more Renaissance than little cherubs? Two hand-drawn embroidered cherubs face each other at the top near the buttons. Finished off with our custom leather tag at the bottom left.

Verona Stroll Shorts

I wanted the perfect denim shorts—not too short, not too long. I thrifted fabrics over months to create patches, and every one of them works beautifully together. All the patches are placed on the bum—a little nod to the cutest thrifted Levi’s my sister bought years ago that had patch repairs in the same spot (I later stole these from my sister oops lol). I loved that look, so I reimagined it with my own twist, even adding lace trim to one back pocket. And of course, the leather tag made its way to the front hem.

Medici’s Muse Jeans

THESE ARE MY BABIES. From the start, I knew I wanted big cuffed jeans, and these are exactly what I dreamed up. The front pockets are adorable, but the magic is in the details: every patch was thrifted and sewn on by me—sometimes with a machine, sometimes by hand—throwing it back to my childhood sewing lessons. One patch is embroidered with my logo, and across the cuff I had to include our motto: “You are art.”

This line was never about just making clothes—it’s about creating pieces you’ll love, wear, and make your own. Every detail was carefully thought through, every stitch chosen with purpose.
