Renaissance by Useum | Fashion’s Rebirth

I’ve spent years in the world of retail, and one thing that always stuck with me was how often I heard women say, “I can’t pull that off.” What baffled me most was that they were usually talking about something they genuinely loved. That always made me a little sad.
You see, my philosophy (and maybe it’s a hot take) is that anybody really can “pull off” anything. It’s not a matter of having the ultimate trending sense of style, it’s about being confident in your OWN style; being confident in YOU.
That’s how Useum was born. People always ask me how I came up with this idea, and it’s exactly that. I wanted to create a space where clothing isn’t just fabric and stitching—it’s art. It’s a medium for expressing and magnifying your own beauty. My message is simple: YOU are art. And it’s time fashion reflected that.
Which brings us to Renaissance.
“Renaissance” is a French word meaning rebirth. Most people think of the Renaissance as the art era—my personal favorite art era btw (hello, Michelangelo). But to me, it’s also bigger than that. It was a rebirth of thought, spirit, and possibility. It’s often stated that the Renaissance began with humanism (the focus and faith in human potential). This literally changed the world by ushering in new thought processes. It got us out of the Middle Ages and allowed us to delve into things like scientific inquiry, exploration, and above all (at least in my eyes) artistic expression. The Renaissance reminded people of something timeless: that humans are remarkable, and every individual has something extraordinary within them.
That’s the heartbeat of this first collection. Renaissance isn’t just a name—it’s an invitation. A call to shed the doubt, embrace your own worth, and step into a rebirth of confidence, creativity, and self-expression.
This is just the beginning. The Renaissance line is the foundation of Useum, but it’s also a movement. A reminder that fashion isn’t about “pulling it off”—it’s about owning who you already are.
Welcome to the Renaissance. Welcome to Useum.
